Katie (She/Her) is a dedicated nurse practitioner with over 22 years of experience in mental health nursing, specialising in psychiatry. With a Master of Nurse Practitioner (Mental Health) degree, she is passionate about utilising her knowledge and skills to achieve the best possible outcomes for people with mental health-related problems, their families, and carers.
Over the past ten years, Katie has taken on various roles in both metro areas and remote and rural communities providing holistic mental health care and support to underserved populations across Queensland, NSW, WA, and the Kimberley region.
Katie's genuine warmth, compassion, and interest in people enable her to quickly build rapport with consumers and their families from various cultural and social backgrounds.
In her new role as a nurse practitioner with Kimberley Healthy Minds, she is excited to offer mental health assessment, treatment, and care planning to the community of Broome and surrounding areas. By bringing her expertise and passion to Kimberley Medical Group, she is committed to providing the highest quality of care to those in need.
